Utility Billing

The Front Office prepares the monthly utility billing while the Pubic Works department reads the water usage and maintains the meters. Central Weld County Water District treats water, which the Town owns. Water flowing through the system is tested on a regular basis. If you have any questions about your water usage please contact the Town Hall. All rates are subject to change.

Monthly Utility Rates

Water

New Residential Water User Rates effective May 1, 2003:

$0.80 per 1,000 gallons (0 gal to 15300 gal) **No change**
$1.73 per 1,000 gallons (15301 gal to 30,000 gal) **No change**
$2.73 per 1,000 gallons (30,001 gal to 50,000 gal)
$3.73 per 1,000 gallons (50,001 gal to 75,000 gal)
$4.73 per 1,000 gallons (75,001 gal to 100,000 gal)
$6.73 per 1,000 gallons (100,001 gal and higher)

No change on Commercial users

There is a monthly service charge of $37.65 to pay back a bond from 1992, which will finish in the year 2012 and should come off the water bill in 2013.

Watering Restrictions

Addresses ending in an odd number water on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday.

Addresses ending in an even number, water on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

NO watering between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and NO watering on Fridays for all addresses.

Sewer

Single family dwelling on a single sewer connection $13.35.

Duplexes, double houses, or other building containing multiple family dwelling units on a single sewer connection; each family unit $13.35.

Taverns, short order meal service $18.77.

Restaurants, bays, laundries an amount equal to one-half the monthly water usage bill.

Slaughter Houses $63.46.

Schools .32 per student/$38.75 per month minimum.

All others $13.52

Trash

The Town is contracted with B&C Refuse for residential trash removal. The trash removal charge is added to your monthly utility bill. Customers are allowed two trash cans per week, anything more than that may be billed directly to the customers. The town offers a spring clean up weekend and a fall burn weekend. Please call Town for more information regarding those special events. The rates for 2006 are as follows:

Residential rates are $11.50 and Senior Discount is $10.50. Private trash removal must be obtained for any business located in Town.

Storm Water Maintenance Fee

Effective January 1, 2006 there is a maintenance fee for storm water drainage. All single family units are charged $1.50 per month and all others are charged $3.00 per month.
