Town Clerk

The Town Clerk's Office maintains current files on all minutes, ordinances, resolution, agreements, easements and deeds for the Town Board and administration. Other services provided by the Town Clerk's Office includes the issuance of licenses, municipal election administration, preparation of Board of Trustees agendas, and the annual budget. The Town Clerk is responsible for operation of the Front Office of Town Hall, which provides a variety of other services to LaSalle residents. The Town Clerk is also the Town Treasurer and maintains all financial records.

Elections

The Town of LaSalle conducts biennial elections, the first Tuesday of April in even numbered years to elect Town board members. Board members are elected on an at-large basis; meaning elected by all registered electors of the Town rather than by specific district or ward within the Town. Terms of office are staggered so three Trustees are elected at one election and the Mayor and three Trustees are elected at the next succeeding election. The top vote-getters from the candidate field are elected to four (4) year terms and the candidate or candidates receiving the next highest number of votes, in descending order, shall be elected to fill any unexpired term or terms. The terms of office commence on the second Tuesday of April following the election.

In order to vote in a Municipal election, only U.S. citizens who are 18 years old and have resided in the Town limits for the last 30 days. Registered electors who have moved into the Town must change their legal address with the County Clerk. Town residents may register with the Weld County Clerk's office or at the LaSalle Town Hall.

Utility Billing

The Front Office prepares the monthly utility billing while the Pubic Works department reads the water usage and maintains the meters. If you have any questions about your water usage please contact the Town Hall.
